Removing the Centre Exhaust Box

I've been thinking of replacing the centre box with a free flow box on my 2005 3.2 Di-D, will this make a differance in sound and performance.
Can I get some commments if some of you have done it?

Nismo,
My 3.2DID has a complete freeflow system and the sound is not affected. The turbo on diesel engines eliminates the "bler" sound as found on petrol engines freeflows.
Go ahead and change all the boxes to freeflow if your budget allows, it wont make any significant change in the sound.

What change did it make in performance?

Cant comment on changing just one box - I took out the CAT and changed all the boxes to freeflow. The motor feels more responsive or more willing going up hills and also saw a slight decrease in consumption. It will also let the heat escape faster from the turbo/engine.
My friend has a Gen4 3.2DID Auto LWB and he could not pull away from me during our little Gen3 vs Gen4 - even going uphill I stayed right alongside him. His Gen4 still has the original exhaust system on. I reckon my freeflow made the difference.

right
so, I removed the center silencer box today and due to funds opted for a straight pipe (not a free flow with resonator). So my setup is currently : no CAT, no ceneter box, 1 free flow silencer right before the tail tip.
It pulls better and from the little bit of driving I've done today seems to be more economical as well.
But... it's pretty loud at anything over 50% throttle so will probably repeat the exercise month end and put a free flow silencer in.

They are charging about R1000 for a free flow box, I am wondering if I should do it.

I'm hoping it will shave some of my fuel economy figures.
If you are eager to do it then do it otherwise you can wait for a few of my tanks to see the results. My straight pipe will have the same performance and economy factors as a free flow.
