Kopbeenskloof 4x4

Hi guys
Kopbeenskloof (AKA waboom trail opposite leeuboschfontein)
I just returned form my first 4x4 weekend with my Pajero that I have had for a year now. We were 3 vehicles, a GX 2011 prado, 2010 d4d fortuner and my 3.5 gen 3 LWB Pajero.
The route was quite long and boring, 36km with only 3 relatively challenging parts, all of which I literally scraped through on either my belly plate or tupperware on the rear bumper, some of which I left behind... Including on wheel arch that the (very) numerous bushes overgrowing the road snagged and ripped off.
The trail is graded as a 3-5. The 5 is a steep downhill section with big drop-offs that snagged my plastic mudgards just behind my tyres (see next post regarding ground clearance). All in all I was quite dissappointed in the route, I have done many others with my mates 4x4's and this one was my least favorite, as you had to bugger up your car to do the challenges, (not just my opinion). I would have preferred a challenge that test your and your 4x4's capability in cross axles, sand, mud, steep section etc. This was just rocky farm road (95%)with a small amount of trail(5%) with HUGE drop-offs that causes body damage...
On the other hand the accomodation was brilliant, big old farm house with electric blankets on each bed and a huge 'kuir' room with built in braai and well stocked kitchen. It is beautiful at night, being 1200 odd meters above sea level according to Garmin, with no light pollution of cel recption for that matter so no nagging phone calls to bug you!
