Since last week my paj wasnt starting as it should, the starter wasnt kicking in everytime. so I took it out and it was full of grease everywhere even on the brushes.Cleaned everything and put it back-now thats how it should run-2 days later didnt want to start, battery flat-charged it up and tried,no start check the starter and the solenoid had a hole burnt in it :?: Now for the shocker R3200 for a solenoid at the dealers   Ordered one from midas for R125 but think its a cheapy will check if I cant find a lucas one 2morrow.

Henk maybe take your car to decent auto elec to check to voltage / amps from main wire to starter. Mine had a a seriuos voltage/amps problem and it was found that the last 30cm of wire were badly corroded and was replaced with a new piece and starter was fixed with what kind of replacement spares I do not know but is working fine now. Previously my car could not stand a week before battery is flat now I go up to three weeks .

I had a similar problem, and Autron (Bellville) checked it out and found my starter was shot as well as my "newish" battery - replaced BOTH for R3500 (labour included). Now she purrs like a cat!

He used a Bosch generic model - you really do not need to go to the stealers to get quality. Bosch is top quality, but half the stealers' price!
