Hi,
my 3,2 DiD have a Dastec chip, anybody have an idea where this might be installed ? How can I disconnect it ?
Neil.
Hi Neil
Don't know where it is, but would like to know why you want to disconect it? Looking at getting one for my car!

I want to evaluate the effect of it on the following:
- Diesel consumption
- Autobox responses, easy driving and 'flooring' it
- power delivery curve ????
I have this problem offroad, she would start spinning wheels with the slightest movement of the power pedal (4LLC), as if some wheels are in the air, can get passed it by using the difflock but not suppose to be like this as other vehicles with me doesnt seem to have this problem, I have this theory that the chip changes the power delivery curve causing a 'power spike' causing the wheel spin before she starts to move, want to test this theory (or maybe I'm just totally missing the mechanics here).

Normaly the chip will be on the L/H under the cubiol, you have to remove the cover under the cubiol at your feet to get hold of the chip.
Take the Paj to a Dyno Tune shop, it only take's about 5 min to un plugged.
