Hi
I see a lot about OME suspension and how good it is. Has anybody got experience with Koni shocks. Are they good? I saw somebody on an Aussie forum that rated it higher than OME.
Thanks

Awsome shocks, you can put them in with a smile. I had them put in my Gen4 and what a difrence it made. Cornering on tar feels alot more stable, bumps in the road gets soaked up by these shocks, and on gravel they are just awsome, it handels corrogations verry good, and big bumps. In general its a pleasure with these shocks .

Hi There, I have just fitted Monroe Rancho 9000 on the rear and they have 9 x adjustments. So far I am happy with them.
I need to try them on various settings over a bad section of corrugated gravel to check how the various settings differ.
I paid R 2840.00 to have them fitted at Best Drive Cresta.

So as promised I have played with the settings on the Monroe Rancho 9000 rear shocks.
Before leaving for the farm I adjusted them to setting 1 and most of the 300km trip was on tar. The car felt spongy and a bit like riding on jelly but still OK. Even my wife as a passenger could feel the difference and commented on the huge difference in the feel of the car over bumps. Over the few km of corrugated gravel to the farm it made a huge difference to the harsh ride we have had for the past few years.
I then set the shocks to setting 3 for the return journey and it was still a lot better on the gravel and much better on the tar with the car being a lot firmer. I was far happier with the ride with it being softer than the original shocks but still firm enough to feel in control.
I will definitely set the shocks to setting 4 or 5 when I tow the caravan as I was very happy with the feel when we did our long trip last month.
I really could not believe the huge difference in feel and handling by such a simple adjustment. Lets see how long these shocks last.
