Hi guys

I'm new to Pajeros and the forum so still finding my feet, but I thought you might be able to solve this mystery for me.

Attached is a photo from the engine bay of my 3500 V6 Gen2 Pajero. You can see a grounding/earth wire that eminates from what looks like the right bank exhaust manifold but goes nowhere? There is an obvious spot for it to attach to (top left in the photo), but I'm not sure if this is where it's meant to be?

Any suggestions?

Looks like an earth. What is it conneced to on the other end?

I will guess it ties to the battery (negative)

What is it attached to on the other end? does it reach the negative pole of the battery?
