Pajero diesel 2000 DID 4m41 3200 cc

It starts ok in the morning or any time it's cold but after it has been driven about 50 km (about half engine temp gauge display) and then shut off engine, then if i start again it's crank but won't fire. if i wait about 40 minutes or if i pour some water over the injection pump it will fire again.

i've replace main and sub/backup engine speed sensor.

what could it be please help shoot me ideas in need to fix this problem as soon as possible.

Check the idle butterfly adjustment screw.
