Is there anyone out there with some pictures of an ARB bull bar fitted to a Gen 4 GLS or GLX? I am also interested to hear about other winch bull bars that members have fitted. Please, I want feedback from people with actual experience of these bars, no google engineers.

Hi Andre,

Recently fitted an ARB Deluxe bullbar, had it colour coded and spotties fitted. Very good and solid bar well engineered if not the best for the GEN 4. Fits neatly and not vibrations, rattles or funny noises after fitting here is some before and after shots. Any questions feel free to ask

The second I clicked on the link to the topic, I knew it was a bad idea...

That bar looks so good...

Think I'm going to drive my wife's honda for the next week - must forget that I saw this!!

Outbackjack, have you any side view photos please. Also perhaps detail on weight of the bullbar, what the effect was on your riding height and price please?

Also, where did you fit it? What was the cost (for bumper & for fitment)?

I would looooove to fit one on my Paj.

Reasons I haven't:

1) Cost
2) Additional mass of around 45-50Kg (when I looked)
3) Heavy duty shocks and HD coils to lift, needed to keep the nose up!
4) Approach angle is slightly lower

I already have a winch on the front of mine and the additional mass was carried "OK" for about 80,000Km by the OME shocks n medium springs. I needed to upgrade to HD coils to keep the nose up. I'd hate to think what mine will do with another 50 odd Kgs upfront.

I think outbackjack is in Aus guys.

I queried 4x4 megaworld in edenvale, they had stock for the Gen 4 last year. You can try them i guess. Otherwise talk to the folk at safari centre and see if you can get contacts for the one that Leisure Wheels put on the green monster. I think it was an ONCA. We a little cheaper than the ARB one from megaworld, by nearly R3k if memory serves.

Sure, hope these help, please note that prior to fitting I had the coils changed with ome shocks increasing lift to about 45mm also had the coils specs to house a winch, not yet fitted.

Hi guys yes I am in Aus but from SA, the bar in $ was about $1800 then added color coding for say $250 all up it was $2175.It was fitted by an ARB 4X4 Shop, I had a look at many options but none looked quite as nice on the gen 4 than an ARB one fits in well rough it up but with a finer touch not too big or bulky. Any other questions feel free to ask. Outback groete
