Hi all,

Some of you will know that I recently changed engine. The new donor engine is the same 3.5 V6 as my old one except that it came off a manual box while mine was off an auto box.
Everything works now that the engine is in and I can feel it is a younger engine but the only problem is that the kick down don't work.
I thought it might be just a matter of adjusting the cable but I had it at the Dealers now all morning and they can't get it right. They even guessed that the throttle body might be diffrent but that is the same.
So were else could be look?
The car stays in 3rd gear (auto) and does not go to over-drive. The button on the gearlever also doesn't do anything.

Any ideas?

It turned out that this issue and my other problem was related ("Temp sensor - Missing wire" post). My overdrive did not work and it seems like this sensor controls that.

So I earthed the extra wire and the O/D kicked in!!

I'll get the sensor drilled and tapped in tomorrow.
