Hi guys, so i took of the intake pipe from the aircleaner going to the turbo. I then checked the turbo for play on the shaft by surprise i found too much sideways play on it. The vanes is touching the housing when i move it from side to side. What would be the best thing to do? Send it for a recon or buy a new one and where and how much? Thanks in advance.

Contact MartinBo on this forum. He went through something similar on his 3.2 Did so might be able to give some good advice.

Does anyone know how much side play a turbo should have? I checked again and is not sure if touching the housing but it is very close. I also checked another one at a scrap yard and it had the same amount of play.
