I own 2005 SWB DID, i have read a lot about the good and bad of the EGR system. Should i worry about it? I have 150 000 km with no problems, and fuel is good. Ave of 9.3km to the lit. Thats with 265/70/17 tyres. Should i mess with design of engine if everything is running good?
I would say no. I am on 285000km and have not touched anything, but I am sure that some will disagree.

My 2001 still running as is with good fuel consumption after 210 0000. I think you have already answered yourself. If it aint broken, why fix it.
