Hi all,
I noticed after I recently changed the thermostat that my 1999 V6 is loosing a little bit of water. When I did the job it did not appear as if there was a gasket between the thermostat housing and where it is mounted.
(I don't mean the rubber o-ring around the thermostat)
Could the aluminium to aluminium seal be good enough?
Thinking of stipping it off and after cleaning it, apply some gasket maker before re-assembly. Is that OK?
Any other suggestions?
