Hi,
My 2005 Gen 3 (113 000 km) squeals like crazy a minute or two after I put the A/C on (which does cool). There's no sound when the A/C is not on.
The squealing is obviously coming from the A/C belt (along with rubber burning smell).
Tried tightening the belt but that didn't help.
So the A/C seems to be seized. Any way to tell whether it's the A/C bearings or the actual pump seizing?
I've heard before that if you change the compressor, you have to change all sorts of other parts (the condensor?) is that true?
Do I take it to Mitsubishi or to an A/C place?
Anyone know a GOOD A/C PLACE IN DURBAN?
Hi Clint Check the pulleys before you do anything else. The aircon belt runs over a plastic pulley that sometimes fails after about 150 000 If I remeber correctly, the replacemnt pulley was R75 and labour from Mitso R 480! Go figure
If you can feel the grass between your toe's, your flying too low!
