Error Code 51 and 52, 3.2 TD
Hi Guys,
sometime back i posted about my apparently overheating Gen 3. The problem is still not resolved. After some advice from different people, it sounded to me like there could be a short on the wire leading up to the temperature sensor. Not to take any chances, i decided to take the car to one of these guys that do computer diagnostics. My hope was the computer would be able to point out what the problem was.
The guy plugged in the computer and after a number of clicks, start and turning off. He tells me the car is reporting an operating temperature of 87 to 88 deg.I believe this is normal. Then he tells me its reporting errors code 51 and 52 ( ) which he explained is something to do with the injection timing. :(
Now before i take it for the injection timing to be checked and resent if necessary, can anybody advise if the timing could have anything to do with the overheating.
By the way the computer guy recommended that i replace the temperature sensor (again) :x and have the wire traced to make sure its not wrongly grounded somewhere. The computer could not see this problem.
If it has moving parts, You can always figure out how it works. Not applicable for solid state hard drives. :)

Could be your speed sensors on the pump.

If your gauge is moving around all over the place it could the cluster control board. Common fault on then. About R2000 for the part and resets your mileage to zero.
