Hey fellow Pajero fans.
I own a '07 Gen 3.2 lwb which I enjoy greatly.
Recently I fitted a kaufner "chip" to my vehicle.
have not regretted it one minute. Had my cat cleaned out
have had an increase of at least 10-12% in torque and a similar
improvement in fuel consumption.
Admittedly my torque increase is estimated but not my fuel consumption decrease.
Fitting a K&N free breathing air filter (re-usable too) and then dyna run. Will post findings.

Hi There
I fitted a K&N air filter and observed an immediate improvement in fuel consumption. I purchased it from Masterparts as a direct replacement/drop in and did not have to change anything.
My fuel consumption improved, but, I am unable to comment on performance although it feels more responsive.

Hi pierredel
can you give us more details on your chip upgrade (place, cost, etc). I have 2007 3.2 LWB that i want to squeeeze as much out of as i can. I have already had the cat cleaned and noticed a marked improvement on performnace. i will try the K&N free breathing air filter as well to see what that gets me.
Mike.

Do you trust the K&N filter in the dusty area's ?
Isnt the K&N more a performance filter than a heavy duty filter ?

Hi there mike.I have the exact same vehicle as you and it performes very well. I just got off the phone with the owner of Kaufner. His name is Morne Tereblanche 083 652 4662.
I paid R2 500 for mine which I found vey well priced in comparreson to other similar products. I have dealt with him before and can only comment on good service I received. Stay well..

I had read something about the K&N filters sometime back and acording to that the K&N isnt a good filter for dusty areas. I know they have oil on the filter but the micron on the filters are big and acording to the ride-up fine dust still enter the engine., I will search and try to find the ride-up.
Remove the filter after a few km's and check your intake for traces of fine dust.

Hi All,
Well had my chip done, also by Kaufner, over last weekend, and i cannot believe the difference. It is PHENOMENAL. The extra power is amazing, but what is really impressing me so far is the decrease in fuel consumption. I dont have exact figures yet, will only work that out after my first fill up, but gauging from where the fuel gauge is by this time of the week, its looking very impressive.
I am SO loving this performance
Mike

Ok ... so filled the Paj up yesterday ... Very happy at this point. Average prior to having the chip done was 11.2l/100km and i am now down to 9.5l/100km. That along with the added performance has made me a very happy chappy
