Hi, my brother in law drives a 2005 3.2 did. When coming back from an outing, the vehicle had no power at all. Upon checking the top of the filter, we saw that the pump on top of filter was sucking and moving down, which showed that the vehicle had diesel starvation. We carrie on home at 40 - 60 km/h. Investigation showed that the dieseltank had received a knock at the bottom and bent the pipe feeding the vehicle, putting a kink in it. In the meantime the engine light came on, and stays on. The tank was sorted and pipe repaired, but the engine light remains on.

What can be cause of this???

double check feedpump operation, replace diesel filter and make sure broken bits are not blocking the pipe between the lift pump and diesel filter.

Hi, thanks for response. We did replace Diesel filter, but excuse my stupidity, but is the feedpump the part above the diesel filter??

No. It is located inside the fuel tank. It accessible from underneath the second row seats.

Hi, thank you. We had the vehicle at a indep, according to him the problem is timing sensor valve located in diesel pump, and diesel pump needs to be taken out. (according to code on computer).
