Coolant goes bye-bye

Hi Guys
I need some ideas here. I have1997 2.8 (4M40) pajero. Motor runs good, starts easy any time of day. Fuel consumption is what it is and power is good.
The problem is that I check the engine coolant before a trip, all good. After about 350 - 400 km I have to add about 1L of water/coolant. I cannot see any visible leaks and the temp stays just under halve on the gauge. In other words, no overheating. The system builds up some pressure, as does any vehicle. The reservoir stays full or fills up (I suppose from coolant from the engine).
What could cause this? Head gasket was replaced (I replaced the timing chain). Radiator cap is new (0.9 Bar).
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks
