Cleaning of radiator

I noticed that there is a lot muck in my radiator as well as in the reservoir tank. Looked mostly like mud. I washed out the reservoir tank as much as I could, but need to get something strong to wash it properly.
Would it be recommended that I do a radiator flush myself or should I take it to someone? Any recommendations in the Bellville area?

I would take it to a specialist, eg Silverton.

What is worrying, though is that you say both the radiator and the expansion tank has "mud" in it.
That is more probably rust.

If you use the right coolant, there should be no rust whatsoever present.

Flush the engine block as well, and make sure you use decent coolant in future (my preference is Caltex Extended Life Coolant)
