Hi Guys
My friend has a 2007 Pajero Gen4 3.2 DID, 120 000Km on the clock. It runs beautifully but the other day the engine cut out completely when coasting to a stop in drive. He was traveling at very low speed when the revs dropped below 1000 rpm and then it just died. He stopped, put it in park and then started it again and it worked perfectly. This happened about four times during the day. It seems to be an intermittent fault.Could it be the Lockup solenoid that is not disengaging and killing the engine?
Anyone experienced the same problem before?

Johndg

Also check for any fault codes logged using the diy method.

Hi Johndg. I had the same problem on my 2007 Gen4. Mine was the Suction Control Valve (SCV) on the High-presure diesel pump. Tat was a common plrblem on the first Common-Rail motors.
Hope it will help
