Pajero 3.2 DiD oil leak

Hi All,

So I noticed an oil leak and arranged that the vehicle go in for a proper service/repair. Henk said that, depending on the issue, the repair could be quick or a 2 day affair. Worse case the engine must come out if it is the crank seal.

So I am prepared for a crank seal and that the engine must come out. I did the injectors (new) as well as diesel pump last year (calibration), so that is covered. What else should I ask Henk to check/do while the engine is out.

I generally service the car every 7,500 km. It's got 350,000 km on the clock, of which I added 70,000 in the last 12 months.

The oil leak might only be this: http://pajeroclub.co.za/forum/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=1856

Check the oil sender unit located behind the turbo.

Hi Morne,

Yes, I had the same problem with the oil pressure switch, located as per Johan's post.

Hi Guys,

I'm having the same problem, but can't ID the problem. checked the switch and looks dry, as per the photo, changed the oil filter and still have a oil leak.

Is there anywhere else I can check.

Regards

Derek
