Greetings to fellow forum members...

I recently acquired my first Pajero (2006 GLS LWB) "Silver Sally" with the primary intention of using it for overlanding to neighbouring game reserves etc. to pursue my passion of wildlife photography.

My first trip is now planned to Mabuasehube end Aug, and Silver Sally's transformation has begun with a Roof Rack and tent recently fitted. Next week I will fit new shoes in the form of Yoki Geolandar AT's... Other changes to be made as and when needed and when the pocket is sufficiently full.

If anyone has any suggestions, thoughts or guidance it would be most appreciated.

I would be particularily interested to know from any experienced members what sort of consumption I should expect in the sand of Mabuasehube... Also, is there anyway of fitting a performance chip (I've been told not as it is direct injection and not common rail).

Looking forward to getting to know everyone...

Warren

Welcome Warren You are going to have a Fantastic time with your new lady... My worst consumption was 4.5km/l, driving very slowly, hardly getting out of 2nd. Suggest you use that as worst case scenario on your trip planning.

Thanks for the feedback Lock...

In terms of my fuel requirements I've heard that diesel is around R10.00 per litre in Botswana so I'm considering filling my jerry cans etc. in Tsabong - has anyone got any recent experiences with getting diesel in Tsabong?
