V6 Hesitation / Missing Issue
Hi all

Over the last month or two, Pumbaa has developed a hesitation or miss under acceleration.

But the issue isn't apparent when idling, or under gentle acceleration, or when revs are steady.

Originally it was only at around 1800rpm, but occasionally it's across the full rev range.

What could be the issue?

Thanks.

unplug the MAF. If the problem goes away, you need to clean the MAF or get a new one.

Can you drive without the MAF?

I'm inclined to think this is plugs or coils.

Hi Simon, are you happy with your spark plug condition?

Yes you can drive without maf. It will run slightly rich but you can drive short distances for diagnosis purposes only.

Well, without actually taking them out, I can't say. How hard is it really to take the manifold off and replace myself?

Never done it myself. I think it's a bit of a knuckle skin remover. How old are they?

Car very unhappy without the MAF plugged in. Idle bounces all over the place. Check engine light comes on...
