Hi all,

Having a blank 60s' moment.

I recall that once upon a time in the recent past there was a clear drain pipe that routed through a hole in the front portion of the OEM bashplate on the passenger side. Maybe it was an extension from the radiator expansion bottle overflow pipe. I noticed today that it is missing.

But at the moment the expansion bottle overflow is just a 200mm length of black tube that stops well short of the bashplate.

Please jog my memory if you can and remind me what clear pipe should protrude through the bashplate.

Sounds like your talking about the radiator drain tube. That's the only tube I can think off that runs through the bash plate.

Since my radiator replacement, I don't have a radiator drain fitted (just another possible place to lose coolant, so eliminated).
