Are you getting used to the diesel noise yet?
Must say even though I love my diesels I still get a glazed look in the eye thinking back to my first Mitsu, a Colt 3000 V6 4x4 Rodeo!

Thanks guys. I never really left ... just could not log in one day so my profile got recreated.
The diesel is still far too noisy and agricultural for my liking. My bosses' 2012 model is a lot quieter. So either the sound dampening was beefed up with the 2010 facelift or the Dieseltorque chip does something that affects the sound of the motor. Speaking of the chip ... it has DIP switch positions 1 - 7. On 7 it was lively but also lots of smoke and terrible consumption (not much different to 3.5 petrol). On setting 4 the smoke is gone but so is the urgency. Will play around with 5 or 6 for optimal balance.
