just had the diesel pump and injectors done on my Pajero but unfortunately the vale block' (R1500) had to be replaced as well. According to the agents it just happens from time to time, without any further explanation.
I am not a specialist but have worked with similar valves in the past and they just don't happen to malfunction
This valve block(4 or 5 valves) sit just to the right of the engine as you look from the front; under the battery

Any one with further info please ?
Johan

hi Johan

what were the symptioms that you were getting that they recommend that you replace the vacuum block. The reason I am asking is that i checked mine today as I have an idle problem .

Hi zoobie,
The workshop said it had a intermittenet miss
As I was not convinced about it I had them replace the old ones and took a drive with the mechanic for quite a distance and nothing happened and today i still have the originals in !
i think i cleaned them a bit with air

has the intermittent miss now gone?..I have theh same problem, engine misses a few beats every now and then. Also wondered if the solenoids were intermittent.

Hi zoobie,
Like I said in my previous message; the machanic said it had a miss and therefore they replaced the vale block;
when they installed the old ones again we could not find a miss
could possibly be that all the handling dislodged a small piece of dirt within the valve bloc
But since, no miss
