Hello Gents,

I need some assistance/ Advice, I have a 2005 DID Pajero with 200 000 Km on the clock and I would like her to do many more. She is still going very well. Just for peace of mind i would like for somebody who knows what they doing in the Pietermaritzburg or Durban region, to go through her and let me know what will need replacement now or in the future and what is still in good order. would rather prevent than cure.

Who can you suggest?

I have battled to find a Pajero specific mechanic in Durban however I have just taken my 96 3,5 LWB for a major service to Uncle Charlies (031 202 8214) next to Tollgate bridge and found him to be extremely thorough and hates giving you back a car that isn't perfect. Highly recommended.

The only person I have heard of is Haydn in PMB.

I think he works from home after hours and I have only heard good things about his service. I know he is on the 4x4 Community forum and I think he is here too. His username is also Haydn.

My 2006 is covered by a warranty at the moment so have to have services done at a Dealer. This will come to an end in a few months time so I will then be looking for someone in Durban or going to PMB for anything more than an oil change.

You will never go wrong with Haydn. He has his own workshop. He used to work only on mitsu in the veins at home as he loves the brand and has most certainly gotten himself a reputation with it. My vehicle does not go anywhere else than him. He is always helpful friendly and does a thorough job. He ensures your vehicle is maintained through a proper plan to keep your budget tidy and the vehicle in best form. He knows many things about these vehicles and has had many customers get very high mileages through his servicing regiment. I know of him having clients get their 2.8tdi colt to well over 500k km with out even a head blowing. His number is 0828213040
