Hi. I had similar problems on my 3.0 SWB gen2. Did everything even changed from 2- to 3-core radiator but still overheating. Could not get a new part in Bloemfontein in time for April holiday. I then took the viscous coupling apart and clean the oil out. I took some binding wire and put it in a circle all around the outside of the disc. Clamped it together thereby changing it to a solid connection. Due to the even thickness of the wire there were no problems with out of balancing. It worked perfect and I enjoyed my holiday. I could not see any difference in fuel consumption and temp needle never above 50%. Since then did 11000km like that but engine now removed for a Lexus conversion.
