i bought the engine and released it was from a Delica 2.8 automatic. the differences are the
1. sump is reversed. if i swapped it with mine will the dip stick still function correctly?
2. oil filter is in front. may need to reroute the water pipe
3. dip stick is in front. can the dip stick be moved to where the pajero's dip stick is located?
4. rocker cover must be swapped with mine. as the oil filler cap is in front, the inter-cooler will be in the way. no problem
5. water pipe to bottom of the rad must be rerouted
6. AC compressor swop with the old one, pipes are not the same
any comment from those who done this

Sorry. Cant help. We dont have Delicas running around in South Africa, sadly, so we dont have this problem.
Swapping the bits that need to be swapped to make it work should not be a huge problem though?

some of the jap imports are from delica's.
it is a 4m40 like the pajero but with slight differences
