non gdi 6g74 into gdi gen 2.5 blister

I ma have the opportunity to purchase a lwb blister fender with a blown 3.5 GDI. Because if the many GDI issues with our jingle juice my idea is to swap in a non GDI 3.5 or the 3l V6.

Has any one ever done this? what were the issues you faced? how much do these engines cost?

Another option is of course the Lexus V8. BUT I have never seen a full list of requirements to make this conversion work and no after 1 year report... I would love V8 power but need to thread lightly as it's unknown territory.

What are the costs involved? I need to make it as cheap as possible. the goal is an everyday, travelling vehicle to replace my swb as need more space
