Good evening

i have a 2001 3.2 DID, over the past couple of days the heat gauge has risen into the red, however i have not had any steam coming out of the engine etc. the gauge will start coming down to normal after a few seconds whilst i have stopped and let the engine idle.

it normally happens a few minutes after startup any time during the day, even if i am idling out of the school grounds.

the radiator has been cleaned and tested, the thermostat has been replaced.

any ideas on other things i should get checked, Viscous??

Hello CATS

yes, it was the R10 resistor that needed the dry joints resoldering, car seems to be running fine now, will test over the next couple of days.
