I have a 1999 Pajero SWB ECI MULTI V6 . It suddenly started to spit oil out of the exhaust & is using a lot of oil , but not really smoking that much. All of the engine oil is used in about 2000km. I live in Durbanville , Cape Town & would like to know where I can take the vehicle to be looked at without it costing me an arm & a leg! I have taken it to my regular mechanic & they say I need to recondition the engine , new pistons/rings/valves, etc......Any thoughts/advise?

Try Steves' Auto Clinic in Milnerton. I have my Pajero serviced at SAC & find them quite reasonable. I also once contemplated to have my previous Pajero's engine completely rebuilt & found their quote the most reasonable of the three I obtained.

Thanx Francois . I will definitely give them a call. I also see that ANG SERVICE CENTRE is someone to contact. Anybody used them before? Just a bit more info on my problem. Vehicle not smoking , no engine warning light , all seems fine. Had a major service done recently , so don't know if maybe incorrect oil/fuel mixture or parts used can cause this to happen. Vehicle is chipped. I'll contact SAC next , but if anybody has any insight into this problem or had it happen to them , please advise.
