I am willing to spend money on a aftermarket suspension to improve the ride but I have no experience with different brands suitable for this particular vehicle, I would appreciate advice in this regard.
I stay on a farm and travel 20 -40km daily on a rutted (sinkplaat) gravel road. I recently sold our 4x4 d4d Fortuner with 260 000km on the clock and bought the Pajero with 78000km on the clock which I am very happy with, the only problem that I experience with the Pajero is on a rutted road it feels like the vehicle is shaking to pieces
.

Ertman,
Keep it standard but play with the tire pressures. If you want to improve the load carrying ability, fit airbags in the rear coils.

Thank you Cloyd
Will do, have lowered front and rear to 2 bar. Someone suggested going as low as 1.8 to 1.85 bar?

Ertman,
You can even consider as low as 1,6 bar - it depends how fast and far you travel after the "sinkplaat".
I know lots of Paj owners go for aftermarket suspensions, BUT I have yet to meet somebody who will in all honesty say that the aftermarket kit is better during the normal day to day drives. Yes, the aftermarket gives more load ability but how often do you drive with a full load?? If you read comments by the suspension expert in Leisure Wheels, he recons what you gain on the swings (more load), you loose in the roundabouts (in day to day comfort).

Can you exclude that the actual suspension isn't just gone?
Mine where completely down, so I checked the price difference between new standard ones and OME.
The difference was ca. R 1000 per wheel and I decided to go for OME, we've been very happy with them on a previous Pajero.

I had the medium duty EFS on my LWB and I was very happy. You could even try the light duty if you don't need the 40mm lift. But as Cloyd says, the standard suspension is very good
