Good day Guys

Need some advise, I need to recondition the diesel pump on my Gen 3 3.2 DID. After much research I have narrowed it to three potential companys to repair.

1. Alan Black
2. Randburg Diesel and Turbo
3. Mitspro

I am based in DBN and cant seem to find a company that can repair it here so will Have to take car to JHB.

HAs anyone based on their experience dealt with the above workshops on this type of repair , will really value some information to make the right decision.

thanks

I have used both Alan Black and Randburg Diesel over the years - FAR better experience with Alan Black

Mitspro cannot repair: they will strip and send away... Alan Black about your only option...

I had a diesel pump repaired from Randburg Diesel earlier this month for a 3.2 DID. The vehicle is running beautiful. Done 800km since the repair. Quote was around R12000 for the service and repair. Labour and calibration was R3400 of this bill and the rest spares.
It is still early days, so far so good.

Hello

I am watching this thread with interest, i am looking at getting my pump and injectors serviced as well, i am based in Grahamstown and was looking at using Mo's Diesel in PE to do the injectors and get the pump done in JHB as they cannot do the pump in PE.

the charge to get the injectors serviced is R2200 exc vat. if anything needs replacing then that is extra.

i have been told to service the pump will cost me R30K, i cannot believe this? what have other members paid to service/ repair their pump?

does anyone have a number for Alan Black?

sorry, forgot to add, i have a 2001 3.2DiD Pajero

Thank you

Regards
Mark

If you pay R2200 for servicing the injectors you might just as well buy complete new ones from Dave Roux at Diesel Electric in Vereeniging. The last price I paid earlier this year was round about R4500 incl vat for a set of 4.

I had the pump on my 2005 Di-D overhauled after long research for the problem, error code 43, TCV if I remember correct. Throttle Control Valve that is situated inside the pump. I had mine done with UDEL in Stellenbosch. They also send the pump away to Jhb. This episode was done on 315 000 km and set met back 42 k. Pajero now on close to 400 000 km and no problems since. I had the wheels slipping and traction control lights illuminate simultaniously and then limp mode. Long threads on this toppic in this forum. Seems to be a Pajero problem. The electronics in the pump alone was over 20 k.
It was a killer and one that has me between 2 fires, do I replace my Paj with another Paj ?
Has anyone experienced diesel pump problems on the new Pajeros ??
