Hi Stevecp
Did you fit new disks and pads?
Im not 100% sure about this but I have read that the caliper bolts sometimes rust and and dont allow for the caliper to self position properly causing the pads to rub against the disk.
Maybe the pros can correct me or provide more info?

Did you fit the parts yourself, or someone else?
Disks and pads?
Powerbrake supply detailed instructions for fitment and initial bedding in of the brakes.
It is very important to clean the hubs very well. I used steel brushes, steel wool, etc to clean mine.

New discs and pads fitted myself, cleaned hubs, and followed all instructions, thinking it may be suspension bushes.

Some time back I posted on another forum my experience with brake shudder on a Gen3. I bought it and inherited a brake shudder. The owner had had the discs skimmed and when on his behalf I returned to the agents they simply wanted to skim again. I was not happy and told them so. I went home and on investigation i found that the rear calipers have special bolts which allow the caliper to move as the pad wears. Although there is a rubber to keep rubbish out, these bolts had rusted / seized inside the calipers. I had to drill the caliper from the opposite end with a small drill bit and squirted release oil in over a few days until I could loosen them without breaking them. Once loosen off, I sealed the drilled hole with silicone and lubricated the non threaded section with grease. The shudder was gone!
