I bought a 1999 Pajero io. When I go over humps on the farm road there is a cracking sound at the back. What is the cause and what can I do?

If it is a clack! sound under neath the rear carriage when going over humps. It is highly likely your trail arm bushes and shock absorbers that needs attention.

But you mentioned a CRACKING sound. Hopefully one of the sharp Guys on the forum will be able to break this down for you.

Mitsubishi could not supply the bushes for the stabilising arms because it is an imported model. Was refered to Teflon Boys in Boksburg. They did 10 bushes and all is right now. Feels like driving a new car.
