Pajero Owners Club of South Africa

I own a 2011 Pajero 3,2 DID SWB and the dealer that is leaking hydraulic fluid from its steering rack. The dealer informs me that the steering rack is not repairable and needs to be replaced, as there are some seals which are worn!
Is really this the only option or can it be repaired? I am not getting much joy out of customer care from Mitsubishi SA
