Hi Guys,

Hope you well?

Need some advice please. Bought a brand new 2017 Pajero Platinum GLS 3.5L in the UAE. Been driving it for about 1600km in the city. It's a pleasant drive on the highway. As soon I I start going over speedbumps, or any semi rough / unstable tar road, or any paved area etc I feel every little bump and hear the rattles.

It's normal to feel these I suppose, but this is a "hard" feeling. Before I drove a Ford Ranger XLT, and was as smooth as can be.

Has the feeling of hard tyres, but Tyre pressure is 2 and 2.2. Did not expect a car like this to drive so uncomfortable during critical periods. Familly member back in SA has one, hence my reason for buying one, as he's was smooth, or maybe I misjudged it.

Please if anyone has info or advise, I would Appreceiate it. Dankie baie.

They are monocoque chassis but even that should not give you the feeling you feel.These cars are super smooth on bad roads and handle very well.
Are you sure the dealer did not maybe have newer harder shocks installed or maybe even coil airbags?Also what tyres has it got and pressures were you running.

I have a 2009 swb, and find it quite hard at low speeds, but smooth at higher speeds, that's with standard shocks, and with tough dog shocks.

Hi Guys,

I have the Yokohama GEOLANDAR G902 tyres, size 265/65 R17. See photos attached. Vehicle just came from 1000km service, guys did test drive and says all is normal.

That all looks pretty standard then.Just to test something.Deflate your tyres to 1.8 bar and drive a corrugated road and see if you feel a difference
