Timing chain guide
Guys,

Here's another reminder to change your top timing chain guides before you get to 250 000km.
Had mine replaced today at Mitsitech on 257 000km. There was nothing left of it....
Guardian angels were with me for the last few 1000km's.

Also had injectors changed while the top was off.

Hulk pulling like a train again!

Cheers,
Niel

Eish

That is totally gone. The top part is probably down in your sump!

Scary that!

Definately worth the few rand to have it checked and replaced.

Re: Timing chain guide
Cats.

I really don't know where the rest of that thing is. Should I be worried?

If it ended up in the sump it has probably been there for a long time already. Can I just leave it there?

I'm kind of hoping that the guide was gradually worked away and that I basically drained all of the bits with every oil change.

Cheers.

I think there is a piece down in your sump. Should be OK there I would think as it ahould peobably stay put.
