Hi Guys

Lately my 2008 3.2 DiD Auto has not been starting quite as easily as it used to and it will often just cut out shortly after starting, or occasionally within a km or 2 of driving. After cutting out it will always start up straight away when I turn the key and then no further problems. No warning lights come on. The vehicle has now done 211 000 km.

I couldn't find this same problem on the forum and would just like to know if anyone else has experienced this or may have any suggestions?

I have roughly the same problem, on startup the engine will idle erratically and then sometime die until the engine is warm then all of a sudden she runs much smoother. I have also noticed way more black smoke from the exhaust.
I replaced the igniters and had the injectors checked out already hoping that would solve the problem but to no avail.
Do you experience any of my symptoms as well?

I had an issue with my 2007 DiD cutting out after starting. It would idle for 10 - 15 secs then cut out. However it would then restart fine.

I had it serviced at a Bosch diesel mechanic and they picked up something wrong with the suction control valve. It was replaced as a part of the service and, touch wood, it hasn't done it again. The part was about R 3k if I remember correctly.
