Good day guys. Looking at a used dark grey 2013 Gen4. The inside of the front fenders are a matt colour. According to the Mitsu salesman the metallic vehicles engine bays are not painted in metallic as well. Could anyone with a similar vehicle confirm?

Except for this the vehicle is in good nick.

I can confirm that it is true. I have a pearl white version and even on that the pearl part is left out on the engine bay. Also had a metalic grey one years ago and it was the same.
