Pajero Exceed 18” tyres

Gents,
My first set of tyres needs replacement at 42k km.
Recommendations based on your experience please.
Had Coopers on my previous swb paj which gave excellent service.
I do about 20% dirt road travel yearly.
Am a bit concerned (for insurance) with tyres like BFG that lists a speed rating of 180kmhr.
Anybody ever had issues because of this - the current Dunlops have a speed rating of 210kmhr.

I have the BFG now for nearly 50,000km and have no issues. They are tough but expensive, a little noisy now that they are a little worn.

A good option that I have read about (but never owned) is the new Pirelli Scorpion ATR Plus, it looks pretty good but the load index is low.

If I was buying tyres for your 20% gravel use, then load index would be way more important than speed index because the higher the load index, the tougher the construction.

A high speed rating also means the rubber is softer hence shorter life.

Load rating is very important as I tow a heavy caravan.
I am not interested in a tyre with a highway tread as I visit rough road areas often.
Of interest with the BFG is the difference in their ratings on the sidewall in the different ads. So one needs to be wary of this.
The softer tyres, like the Dunlops which it leaves the factory with, only last some 40k odd kilos on the Pajeros.
How does BFG handle on wet roads?
There is a limited choice of the tyres available in 18" rim size
There are currently no BFG tyres in 18" stock from the importers.

Honestly, the BFG is not great on wet tar. I use 4H as soon as I experience a wet road. I don’t have much experience on wet gravel / muddy roads.
