I have a Pajero io 1999 model with a lancer 1600 16 v motor.
When the vehicle is cold as soon as you start it within 20 seconds it goes in lump mode.
Turn off ignition and start again it is ok for a while. If you take the battery cable off it does
not happen again until it is cold again.When it is cold outside but the vihicle is warm and you go up a incline
it goes into lump mode.Any sugestions to what I must look for.

Hi Tielman, first of all sorry to here about the limp mode issues.

Did you buy the iO with the Lancer engine or did you install it?

Did you replace the original iO's ECU .

Hi Andre
Thank you for your post. No I did not replace the ecu and I bought the vehicle
with the Lancer motor.I took the ecu out and it was in 2017 in for repairs
in Bracenfell in the Cape(STICKER ON IT).
