Good day to all
Thank you for accepting.
I am new to this forum but I need help.
Our 2012 Pajero 3.2 overheated late last year.
So no problem, remove cylinder head, had it tested and according to engineering shop it was wrapped.
Obtain aftermarket head only to discovered that it differs from the
original head.
Only to learn then that as from 2012 the High Power was introduced.
The bad news: no aftermarket heads available in South Africa. Agents only at a cost of more than R50 000,00 with a waiting period of 4 to 5 weeks.
Engineering company said they can repair the old one. OK , do it.
Still waiting for it.
In the mean time looking for a head set - nothing, then complete gasket set, again nothing. Agents only. Waiting time 3 weeks, at a cost of +R11 000,00.
Try to obtain it from Partsouq. No luck - not in stock yet.
Now my question. Any member on this forum that can assist me to import a gasket set at a reasonable price?

Good morning

I am also new on the forum, and I have my eye on a Gen3 SWB 3.2 DiD GLS, in the high mileage club.

Hans, sorry to sort of hi-jack - are you saying that the high power cylinder heads are not yet available aftermarket (in other words, Gen 3 cylinder heads are available?)

Authur,
Gen 3 aftermarket cylinder heads are freely available.
Could get hold of it for less than R9000,00.
High Power not available except from agents at R51700,00 plus VAT.
Waiting period 4 to 5 weeks.
Gasket sets for Gen 3 also freely available. If Iam not mistaken a Headset for less than R2000.

Hello Hans,
Try Trust Company Ltd in Japan.
In 2016 I needed a new speedometer unit for my Japanese import 2.8 turbo LWB Pajero. Unavailable in S.A. I contacted Trust Company and they were very efficient. Click on this link - parts@japanesevehicles.com
They sent me a link to submit a quotation request . I had to provide all details of the vehicle and they sent me a quote.
On accepting the quote, I paid by credit card and a couple of weeks later the correct part arrived. Efficient, quick and no hassle.
It's worth a try and good luck.
Regards - Roger
