Pajero Gen 4 , oil not rising to camshaft

I recently did an engine overhaul , after fitting engine and changing new oil pump , oil sensor , and engineered head , block and crank , car kicks on one kick but no sign of oil coming to the top. Not certain whether to open top or sump? Anyone who has faced similar challenges on 6g74 engine...
