Cracked A Pillars on Gen4

I noticed considerable movement on the A pillars when driving on gravel roads. On examination I saw that my windscreen is loose in the rubber surround. I previously had a leak rain on the windscreen.
On further examination I have noticed cracks at the base of the A pillars. These cracks are probably as a result of the A pillar flexing, possibly caused by an ill-fitting windscreen.
Has anyone had a similar experience and what did you do about the cracking etc?
