The Gen 3 DiD Pajero does not have a MAF like the petrol 3.0/3.5. They use a MAP sensor, Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor.
There is a small black hose running from the intake manifold to a fitting underneath the diesel filter, mounted to the firewall. The sensor is attached to said fitting.
Are you having idling/stalling problems?
