Gen 3 roof rack rails

I am currently using a Pajero gen 3 LWB 2004 model as my work and leisure vehicle in Tanzania and I am having a problem getting information on whether a roof rack attaches to the gutter rail or how is it supposed to be mounted. Can anyone help with mounting possibilities for this vehicle. It will in all likelihood have to be DIY or if someone can tell me where I can buy mounting brackets in SA I might be able to get them here to TZ.
