I want to design and build a drawer system for my Pajero Sport. The rear +- 300mm space under the flap that covers small tool storage space and access to the spare wheel lowering nut is a bit of a problem, as it is effectively "dead space" that cannot be covered by drawers. It has to remain open and accessible with items above it easily removeable. I would appreciate it if someone who has overcome this problem in a practical way can share his/her ideas with me. I plan to build a system using birch plywood and have reasonable technical drawing and woodworking skills.
