Hi Everybody.

I have bought a fuel filter from Autozone. On my enquiery they gave me a GUD E82 fuel filter. When compared with the one on my 1994 M/Pajero (Gen.2) LWB V6 3000L, it differ in size and the in/outlets are not the same. Did I buy the correct filter ? - If not, any suggestions/reference to the right part no.

Many thanks.
Robert.

same thing happened with me.

I'll look this afternoon at the one I eventually found that worked. Please PM me about 5pm to remind me.

I am however going to replace the banjo bolts with normal rubber hoses and clamps and use a cheaper filter as the one I got from autozone was bloody expensive. R280 or something.

Hi Marius.

Thank you for the feedback - the E82 fuel filter at Autozone, I only paid R109.00. Unfortunately it is a bit smaller than the one on the Pajero.
You talk about replacement of pipes etc. - is'nt it a risk to "smaller" the filter, rather then to stick to the original. I phoned our Mitsubishi dealer - the one I made an enquiery on = R469.00 ????????????

Regards, Robert.

As far as I'm concerned the filter flows more than the pipes provided the filter is clean so the fuel pressure gets regulated by the FPR.

With a change in filter the differences should be negligeable if using a similar filter, albeit cheaper model, as most FI systems use the same basic systems with regards to pressure and filter flow, except of course the new ultra hi pressure injection systems.

Same thing happened to me. I phoned Midas and asked if they had any other filters listed. GUD E76 was the other one. The in and outlet is the same size.
It was R120 fitted perfectly.
