It is interesting that there is no non-return valve on the suction line - it must just rely on atmospheric pressure to prevent the line draining back to the tank when standing.

We have driven from Robertson to Johannesburg, then down to Sabi Sands and back to JHB without any smoke signals. So far so good!

Our best fuel consumption was from Robertson to JHB, via Kimberley, at 130.1 litres over 1441km giving 9.028 l/100km. However, this was partly due to many stops for road works on the N1 to just beyond Beaufort West.

The overall consumption so far is 253-575 litres over 2,631km giving 9.64 l/100km.

I have exactly the same symptoms, but I have a SWB Gen 3.

From other parts of the web and the manuals, it says that to get to the access panel in the floor, just undo the seatbelt bolt and lift the carpet. Well, I can't see how the carpet is going to come up when I tried that.

Anyone done this on a Gen 3 and can give pointers?
